Alex

1976 - 2007

Alex was an remarkable African Grey who pioneered new avenues into avian science. Alex broke the mold in the way most people saw parrots and their behaviors and without him- the bird world and it's science would never have come so far. We thank you Alex for sharing your intelligence with us.

We would also like to thank Dr. Pepperberg and all her hard work with Alex. She dedicates her life to these birds and the loss of Alex will be one felt for years to come.

And last but not least. Thank you to Arlene from Grey Parrot Studios for sending us the Rainbow Bridge Memorial information for this wonderful bird. Fly free over the Rainbow Bridge, Alex, the avian world can not thank you enough for all you have done.

Arthur aka "Wart"

Arthur, aka Wart, another bird from Dr. Pepperberg's flock, he was the youngest in the lab. He loved to play with all of his toys. He usually begged for lunch off of the student workers. His favorite word was “tickle.”

Thank you to Arlene from Grey Parrot Studios for sending us the Rainbow Bridge Memorial information for this wonderful bird. Fly free over the Rainbow Bridge, 'Wart', the avian world can not thank you enough for all you have done.
